Break the Cycle Build a Future

Circles® is more than a class or a support group—it's a powerful, relationship-based approach to breaking the cycle of poverty.

CIRCLES® SCOTT COUNTY

Long-term change starts with community

Circles® is more than a class or a support group—it's a powerful, relationship-based approach to breaking the cycle of poverty. Participants (called Circle Leaders) are surrounded by a community of trained allies who walk with them on their journey toward financial stability, personal growth, and lasting change.

How it works

1

Apply & Commit

Participants begin by joining a supportive group committed to long-term change. They attend weekly Circles® meetings where they receive training, set goals, and take practical steps toward stability.

2

Build their circle

Each participant is matched with caring volunteers—called Allies—who walk alongside them, offering encouragement, accountability, and consistent support throughout their journey.

3

Grow together

As participants gain confidence and build new skills, they work toward financial independence and personal growth—often becoming leaders and role models in their families and communities.

Why it works

Circles® isn’t a quick fix—it’s a long-term investment in people. By building intentional relationships, we empower participants to break free from hardship and rewrite the future for themselves and their families.

LAMEKA - CIRCLES® SCott County

Left double quotation mark.

Circles® has impacted my life in so many ways. But one way that stands out to me more than anything is the community. Before I came to Circles®, I had very few friends, I was very quiet (and still am sometimes), and I probably would’ve been petrified to talk to you. But with the growing trust that Circles® instills, I learned to use my voice. There aren’t many people I don’t know at Circles®. Some have literally become family, and I really don’t know what I would’ve done without it. I have grown so much confidence and appreciation for myself and others.
